THE CHALLENGE

In commercial video production, many agencies can shoot a talking-head interview. But true cinematic storytelling, the kind that builds worlds and earns critical acclaim, requires a completely different level of craft. Big Puddle’s challenge was to prove that our narrative capabilities rival top-tier Hollywood productions, demonstrating that our team can craft gripping, visually stunning fiction that commands attention on the world stage.

The Abandon (Lionsgate)

A high-concept sci-fi thriller requiring masterful tension-building within a single, claustrophobic location. Picked up by Lionsgate, it earned a 92% Rotten Tomatoes audience score and became the highest-rated independent Lionsgate release of 2024.

Kenobi: A Star Wars Fan Film

A short film project that exploded into a global phenomenon, generating over one million views in its first 24 hours. It landed on Steven Soderbergh’s watch list and earned a feature in The New York Times.

The Record Keeper

A visually groundbreaking sci-fi/steampunk series that transcended its original corporate mandate to become a passionate underground cult phenomenon.
